Bio
I never planned to be a teacher. During my undergrad, my best friend convinced me to complete the education program in addition to Psychology…"to fall back on." Six years later God placed me into a teaching position where I discovered that working with kids, teaching and helping and guiding them really wasn't work - it was my calling.
I love making a difference in student's lives on a daily basis. God has enabled me to help kids feel welcome and comfortable and accepted as they are.
I am a strong believer that you go as far as you think you can and then go another step past that. I encourage my students that with God's help, and if they are willing to put in the effort, they can reach goals they may not have ever imagined! I inspire them to push past the "I can't" and explore the possibilities for their future.
One of my greatest joys is when a student returns to tell me I made a difference. I have seen many students go on to be successful in their fields and lives.
When I am not teaching, I dote on my 5 nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. We are a tight-knit family so I am often found traveling with my parents. I am an avid scrap booker and love to jump into a good DIY project and numerous different crafts. My dog Sophie is my spoiled 4.5 lb bundle of joy who rules the house and is always ready for travel adventure. I've traveled in Latin America, Europe and the Western half of the US…up next the eastern half!
